How Legacy Builds Homes
Not only are Legacy homes unique – so is the process that creates them.
Steve Lamb, designer/builder and principal, believes that the creation of a home is very personal and doesn’t have to be expensive. To this end, he develops a close relationship with each client that ensures a truly custom outcome.
Step 1 – Listening
The process begins with an initial meeting at which the client’s ideas, preferences and budget are given a thorough review. Steve listens before he acts – knowing a client’s budget at the beginning prevents overdesigning. Respect for his clients forms the basis of Steve’s approach to design.
Step 2 – Design
After gaining a complete understanding of the client’s wishes, Steve moves to the sketch phase of designing. Progressive drawings are developed until a final design emerges that works not only aesthetically, but fits within the framework of the client’s lifestyle and budget.
Step 3 -Construction
The building phase brings out all the resources at Legacy’s disposal. Steve is a hands-on builder – he’s still “wearing the belt” after 40 years and personally oversees all phases of construction. The quality of each Legacy home is a direct reflection of Steve’s high standards and attention to detail. At Legacy, “old-world craftsmanship” is a daily reality, not a tired cliché.
